श्री अखिल भारतीय ढंढार जैन संघ (समाज/पट्टी) [Shree Akhil Bhartiya Dhandhar Visa Oswal Jain Sangh]

  • Shri Akhil Bhartiya Dhandhar Jain Sangh is a social, religious, and cultural organization for the Dhandhar Jain community.

Objectives:

  • Strengthen unity within the community.
  • Preserve religious and cultural traditions.
  • Support social service and education.
  • Organize religious, cultural, and social programs.
  • Formerly Dhandhar Patti [श्री ढंढार जैन संघ (समाज/पट्टी)] originally consisted of villages in and around Jalore district of Rajasthan, including Aakoli, Dudsi, Amarsar (Sarat), Bagra, Bakra, Borta, Chura, Dhanji ka Vada, Dhansa, Jodwada, Madgaon, Modran, Noon, Reotara, Santhu, Sherana and others. It included all three Jain communities — Dasa Oswal, Porwal and Visa Oswal.
  • Over time, the first two groups separated, forming their own branches of Dhandhar.
  • Now Dhandhar Patti consists of Visa Oswals of Jain from above community villages & is known as Dhandhar Visa Oswal Jain Sangh, but also gradualy people from these villages migrated to some other villages & now Dhandhar Patti consists of only 12 villages viz. Amarsar (Sarat), Bagra, Bakra, Borta, Chura, Dhansa, Jodwada, Modran, Modra Station, Noon, Reotara (Rewatada), Santhuetc. & now-a-days people from these villages has also migrated to various cities of India & abroad to earn their livelihood.
  • This attempt to create Dhandhar Mobile Website & App is a small step to bind people together by getting contacts of its members & details & news of them & events of native places, so that people of Dhandhar Patti & their children are bound in one string attached to their native & the fragrance place, its culture & feel of the soil of Rajasthan though they are miles away from their native villages.
  • Today, Dhandhar Patti represents the Visa Oswal Jain community from the remaining core villages:Amarsar (Sarat), Bagra, Bakra, Borta, Chura, Dhansa, Jodwada, Modran, Modran Station, Noon, Reotara (Rewatada) and Santhu. Many families have now migrated to cities across India and abroad.
