Dhandhar Patti [ढंढार जैन समाज (पट्टी)] originally consisted of villages in and around Jalore district of Rajasthan, including Aakoli, Dudsi, Amarsar (Sarat), Bagra, Bakra, Borta, Chura, Dhanji ka Vada, Dhansa, Jodwada, Madgaon, Modran, Noon, Reotara, Santhu, Sherana and others.
It included all three Jain communities — Dasa Oswal, Porwal and Visa Oswal.
Over time, the first two groups separated, forming their own branches of Dhandhar.
Today, Dhandhar Patti represents the Visa Oswal Jain Community from the remaining core villages: Amarsar (Sarat), Bagra, Bakra, Borta, Chura, Dhansa, Jodwada, Modran, Modran Station, Noon, Reotara (Rewatada) and Santhu. Many families have now migrated to cities across India and abroad.
